Racing heart before a test. Going blank halfway through. Reading the same question repeatedly without being able to focus—test anxiety can make even a well-prepared student feel completely overwhelmed.

Most advice stops at “just relax,” which rarely helps when anxiety takes over during an actual test.

The Test Anxiety Toolkit gives students practical strategies they can use before, during, and after testing. Created by a former high school counselor with 15 years of experience, this four-page printable worksheet helps teens understand that test anxiety is a biological stress response—not a character flaw or evidence that they are incapable.

Students will develop a plan for test day, recognize their personal anxiety signals, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and practice techniques for regaining focus when panic strikes.
