IEP meetings and 504 plan reviews can feel like walking into a room full of acronyms and other people’s expertise about your own child. Walking In Prepared is built to change that—a plain-language guide explaining what each type of meeting is for, who is usually in the room, and how to participate as a genuine equal partner instead of a bystander.

Written by a former high school counselor who sat on the school’s side of these meetings for 15 years, this worksheet gives parents a practical preparation checklist, helpful questions to ask, and a follow-up tracker so the next steps agreed upon during the meeting do not quietly disappear afterward.

• A before-the-meeting preparation checklist
• Space to record your top concerns and hopes
